Abstract: Building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV) can play an important role in supplying the electrical grid with a clean and limitless renewable energy source. This study aims to target a strategy for a solar energy resource in Kuwait’s urban areas, which will function as a community solar energy system. The investigation of the possible integration of photovoltaics on the roofs of publicly owned buildings such as schools may yield sufficient energy to offset some of the energy loads on utilities or be used by the residential units in those neighborhood units.
