Abstract: The objective of the innovation project is to present the results that were achieved for the development of digital skills in a group of pedagogy students from the Centro Universitario Internacional de México (CUIM). It is an exploratory qualitative research that arises from the need to create a virtual learning space to learn about educational technology-specific content, the use of digital tools, and to understand the role of a virtual teacher. From this point, a personal blog was created that worked as a didactic simulator that allowed the student, from a student teacher position, to create and publish his own multimedia material for the development of digital skills. Editing the blog post favored the understanding of the content and application of instructional design. An analytical rubric was designed and applied, with five levels of domain, whose results were analysed from the reported frequency according to the rubric. The results show that the proposed strategy is relevant to the development of digital skills.
