Development of Soil Standard Regulatory Based on Human Health Risk Approach: Apply for Dioxin in Vietnam

Abstract: In order to effectively control environmental pollution caused by toxic chemicals and protect public health, environmental standards regulation are required. This paper describes the process of developing environmental standards for POPs/dioxins based on an approach to assessing human health risks. The results of this study have developed soil standard for dioxin thresholds in agricultural and non-agricultural land to provide the basis for soil treatment and cleaning in dioxin-contaminated areas in Vietnam.
