The Importance of Integration for the Bim’s Automation in the Modeling and Budgeting Stages

Abstract: This article is inserted in the context of a basic premise about Building Information Modelling (BIM), the integration between design and budget stages in a project inside the construction market. The main object of this work is to demonstrate the importance of integration to BIM automation and efficiency. The research uses as method an adaptation in some phases of Design Science Research, that focusing in improvement of human activity. The result of this research is an analysis about the main requirements and failures that may happen in the binding of the BIM 3D and BIM 5D stages. This analysis collaborates to companies that intend to apply the BIM and to the future academic projects and works.
