Self-Directed Learning Ability of the Students in Ho Chi Minh City
University of Technology and Education Vietnam — Reality and
Development Direction

Abstract: During the university period of students, self-directed learning ability plays a really important role. It promotes the self-awareness and positiveness that can take up the students’ knowledge. Fostering self-directed learning ability of students is a significant duty in all the universities. In this writing, the writer mainly focuses on the issues which are related to the conception of self-directed learning ability, assessment of practice of self-directed capacity of students from Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education (HCMC UTE), enhancement in self-directed capacity of the students, especially for solutions of teaching methods according to the approach of self-directed learning of lecturers for students. Therefore, it can help speed up self-directed learning ability of students which contributes to the innovations of teaching methods.
