The Life Process of Historic Buildings and Its Influencing Factors

Abstract: It is an inevitable process for a building to be superannuated, or to carry out a functional fall, to finish the construction life, and to result in demolition. Life is shortened or is extended by the sudden accident with a building, or the plan by the persons concerned, or the judgment and a social request, or the trend, etc. Even if the functional fall of a building is not remarkable, it may result in change of built for new equipment or the growing floor area demand, and the construction life is concerned closely with the trend of the age. In this paper, the world’s first atomic bombing of Hiroshima as the background of the city, through the literature and survey to study the bombing of the building actual situation and trends of further discusses the architecture of historic building life and exist and form associations and external factors, Internal judgment, Functional requirements, Economic efficiency etc. Research the following: 1) Confirmation and summary of bombed buildings. 2) Architectural life and existential types. 3) Current status of the size and use of existing buildings. 4) The external request and correspondence situation in the construction of building life process.
