Abstract: Slovenia is in line with European directives obliged to reduce greenhouse gas emissions (CO2). There were several measures for improving energy efficiency adopted in the past to achieve this aim. In the field of real estates there was Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) which has the purpose not only to present a classification of a certain building into energy scale but also to propose measures for improving energy efficiency. Implementation of measures reflects in real property market value. The article presents the procedure of elaborating Energy performance certificate and valuating methods of real property in accordance with International valuation standards 2013 (IVS 2013).
